I’m currently working in combinations of wood, metal, and stone on two related series of sculptures. The first—the Totem Series—is figurative and part of an evolution that began in the 1970s. The other series, called Warriors’ Shields, is constructed from broken harrow discs—the ones used to plow fields—and steel that is either forged or found.
